Where do you source your fabric?
We source our fabric from a few different places -- primarily local thrift shops.  These fabrics are previously loved and repurposing them gives them a new life instead of ending up in a landfill.

Why doesn't my product look exactly like the picture on the website?
The fabric we use for our products is upcycled from local thrift shops or donations.  The number and size of wraps we are able to make with one pattern depends on the amount of fabric we find.  This means sometimes we only have one size availble per pattern.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your order so if there is a specific colour that you are looking for, please contact us directly to see what we have in stock!

How do I tie a fabric wrap?
Fabric wrap can be tied in many ways based on the Japanese art of Furoshiki.  A great resources can be found here at the Government of Japan Ministry of the Environment.

What size of fabric wrap should I buy?Small is perfect for items like mason jars, mugs, paperback books, small clothing items like socks or kids clothes, soaps and other small toiletries…

Medium will work for just about anything -  adult clothing, wine bottles, shoeboxes, board games…

Large is great for big or irregular-shaped items like ski boots, a yoga mat, a really big box…

The medium size is the most versatile and most gifts can be wrapped using the medium wrap, having a couple smaller and larger wraps on hand can be helpful!

Can I use my fabric bag in a local grocery store?
We have not had problems using fabric bags for produce and bulk goods at our local store.  Some stores will allow you to weigh your bag prior to filling it up - also known as finding out the 'Tare'.  This is so the weight of the bag can be subtracted off the final weight of your product.  Feel free to use our logo tags to record the Tare of your bag!  This is more common at stores that specialize in bulk food and may be more difficult at larger grocery stores. However, if you are using the bag for produce and are concerned that the weight of the bag will significantly impact the cost of your produce, we would suggest weighing your produce before placing it in your bag.

Why don't you write the Tare on your bags?
Because we use different weights of fabric, and because all of our bags are handmade, they is some slight variation in size and weight.  For this reason we cannot record the tare of all of our bags.  However, you can have your bag weighted at your local bulk store and record the tare on the back of the logo tag.
